Amanda was born and raised in Ohio and developed a passion for children early in life. She graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Family Development, along with a certification in Family and Parent Education. With nearly 17 years of experience, Amanda has worked in childcare and preschool settings and has served as a program director for youth services in the library system. Through her work as both a teacher and director, she discovered a strong desire to learn more about behavioral therapy techniques to help all children succeed in a classroom setting. This led her to earn a Master’s degree in Child Psychology in 2018.

Her husband, Matt, is in the Navy, and together they have two young boys. In April 2022, the family relocated to Gulfport from Norfolk, Virginia. In her free time, Amanda enjoys spending time with her sons, engaging in DIY projects, making trips to Target, basking in the sun outdoors, and exploring fun local activities with her family.
