Allison Brown

Speech Pathologist

Mrs. Brown has been joyfully married to her high school sweetheart for 40 years and takes great pride in being the mother of four adult sons. They are fortunate to have six grandchildren, all under the age of seven. She obtained her Master's Degree at 22 and has dedicated her career to being a Language/Speech Pathologist ever since. She truly loves what she does. The opportunity to promote communication and understanding while fostering problem-solving and abstract thinking skills, connecting neurons, and witnessing those enlightening "AHA" moments brings her tremendous joy and satisfaction. During the first 31 years of her career, she worked across two states in various settings, including a special needs school, a residential facility, Head Starts, and numerous public and private schools. While her primary experience has been in elementary education, she has also had the pleasure of working with individuals from preschool age to seniors. She "retired" in 2016 to care for her Pop, who was struggling with Alzheimer's, and to help with their first grandchild. After five years of caregiving, she was overjoyed to return to speech therapy. She has a deep love for working with young people and is thrilled to be back at Hope Academy.
